About the Program

The Targeted Tennis Program is designed to provide elite tennis players with the opportunity to combine academic studies with professional training within the school environment.

To be eligible for the Targeted Sports Program (Tennis) students must:

  • Demonstrate ability and interest in tennis
  • Possess a strong commitment and positive attitude to academic studies
  • Have a good record of school conduct

Coaching Staff 

Shaun Hibbert (Head Coach / Mentor)

  • Bachelor of Education (PDHPE)
  • Club Professional Level Coach
  • Current coach of Top 10 juniors and ITF junior ranked athletes

Training

Students train Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (during school hours) plus one morning session before school. Strength and Conditioning sessions are programmed into the students timetable.

During training sessions students will be exposed to the following:

  • Technical play
  • Tactical match play
  • Mental toughness
  • Footwork / fitness
  • Video analysis
  • Strength & Conditioning

Tournaments

Students involved in the TSP Tennis program are provided with opportunities to compete at tournaments and training camps

  • Sydney East championships – Individual and Team
  • NSW CHS Tennis
  • Pizzey Cup Trials
  • Tennis Australia AMT and JT Tours
  • Training camps

Fees

$850 per annum.
